The Bedford County Library provides numerous services to the community, including:
• PA Power Library - gives access to thousands of materials.
• Newspaper Archive - a collection of Pennsylvania papers.
• Ask Here PA – a statewide, live chat reference service.
• Story Time - brings books to life during their story time.
• Summer Reading - a collaborative statewide summer reading program.
• eBooks - The Bedford County Library offers two eBook services: CloudLibrary and Hoopla.
• Audio Books - Free rental.
• Magazines/Newspapers - The library subscribes to 25 magazines and three newspapers.
• Inter-Library Loan - Borrow books from other libraries.
• Internet Access - The library has seven computer stations and offers free Wi-Fi.
• Fax/Copy Service - Fax service is available at the library.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by giving books, free of charge, to children from birth to age five. Every month, a high-quality, age-appropriate book is sent to every registered child, at no cost to the child’s family. Get your children excited about books and the magic that books can create.
Or consider donating $25.00 to sponsor a child and allow them to receive books throughout the year.
Donations will be accepted at Altoona First Savings Bank, Everett Branch (112 Willow Grove Drive, Everett, Pa 15537).

Our Success Stories – Get Ready to Embark on An Exciting Journey!
Bedford County Camp Cadet is a program that aims to provide local youth with a better understanding of law enforcement activities by giving them an opportunity to live in an environment similar to the State Police Academy. The program is completely free for Cadets and their families. It fosters a variety of attributes such as endurance, accuracy, confidence, respect, teamwork, honor, self-esteem, agility, and lots of fun!
Camp Cadet is not a corrections-based program, but rather an opportunity for young people to experience the different avenues of law enforcement and see what resources go into police science.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library provides the magic of books right to your doorstep. Each month, a brand-new, carefully selected book will be sent directly to your child, sparking their imagination, and fostering a love for reading.
United Way of Bedford County has teamed up with Altoona First Savings Bank to serve as the Local Champions of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, a book gifting program that sends free, high-quality books to children from birth until the child turns five, regardless of their family’s income.
