Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is committed to promoting a love for reading by providing books at no cost to children from birth until the age of five, regardless of their family's income. This is made possible through joint funding by Dolly Parton and our community partners. Books play a crucial role in enhancing children's literacy and reading abilities, which are vital for success in life. Enroll your child to start receiving these complimentary books from birth, and we'll handle everything else!
Or consider sponsoring a child by donating $25.00 which pays for a child to receive books for an entire year.

Motivated by her father's struggle with literacy, Dolly Parton launched the Imagination Library in 1995. The program now extends across five countries, distributing over a million free books monthly to children worldwide. In Bedford County, this program is available for free and provides high-quality books to children from birth until they start school, regardless of family income. Register your child at birth and receive 60 free books by their 5th birthday. For inquiries, please contact us at 814-624-0041. Reading to a child is a timeless gift that can begin at any age.
